Thankful that things have been rather easy-going although the effects of all day schooling are catching up. Visited the doctor on tuesday and got a day off on wednesday which was mostly spent on sleeping while in the following days, once lessons were done with I came home and involuntarily took naps.
The highlight of the week came today which is aka chongray & I's second anniversary (:
We aren't a pair that takes too much consideration into where we spend our time together unless there's some sort of agenda we need to accomplish however we thought we'd at least plan a rough guideline of how we would spend the day. Was searching burpple.com and came across Stateland Cafe located at 30 Bali Lane. It's around the haji lane neighbourhood which we like to patronise but don't get enough chance to so that's where we headed for lunch!
It's a (really) small and bustling cafe so after a while you sorta give in and start talking really loud to compete with the other waffle-eating people. Their menu consists mostly of sweet delights but there is a nice selection of savoury items as well. Chongray had the Eggs, Bacon & Cream Waffle while I had the Big Breakfast, both of which hit our expectations hehe which means we'll be back soon.
Walked down the row of shops at haji lane and really appreciated the variety and colours of the area. Only stepped into a shop or two but got myself some quirky postcards designed by higochi yuko! We then walked over to bugic junction which we circled a couple of times before ending up at bugis+ to catch snippets of the asia pacific yo-yo championships (much to bf's delight).
Our last destination of the day was swensen's at plaza sing because I've been craving some banana splitting for quite a while hehe. We got lost and went up three levels expecting to find the place at each storey but it just turns out we were at the wrong corner of the mall haha funny us. Post-banana splitting we took a long bus ride back to my place which was spent talking about religion and other little bits and bops of life. (:
These are the nicest days.
