The boyfriend was in school filming so after we were done, we met up with him and sat at munch to help have a quick bite and help jia min with her write up hahaha. Previously during the talk she was quite freaked out but jm, if you're reading this: YOU CAN DO IT (:
Later on, cr and I took the bus down to my church because of open mic! I was helping out for sound so we were there earlier along with the performing groups. The place was decorated with fairy lights and there were some cushions and velvet stools scattered around the floor so the environment was pretty chill (:

Headed for another music-related event today (or rather yesterday) which was BAYBEATS!!
I wasn't particularly excited for it or anything but there were a line up of bands that cr wanted to catch and so I thought I'd join him this year! Just a little background information, chongray and I have pretty different music tastes. Even though I'm not to rigid with picking my music but I've never really gotten hooked onto metal/melodic hardcore/metalcore so going for his gigs are pretty eye-opening to me.
National day parade rehearsals were going on at the floating platform nearby and let me tell you how freaking excited I was when I found out that the red lions were practising. I literally hopped over and I kept clapping and poking cr to look at them as they descended. I said "they look like red ants in the sky" then when they landed I spazzed out for a bit. Had a little more time to kill before the first band was due to open so we had some food at the makansutra glutton's bay which I will say is really touristy (food + prices) but pretty cool at the same time.
The powerhouse stage was right next to the food place so we just walked over and tadah false plaintiff was up. I would say I quite enjoyed their set (: we stood towards the side because I'm an awkward person but I don't think we lacked the concert energy that was buzzing around hehe. At one point the singapore flag flew past and there were also the really loud jets flying above whee. Following them there was a 45 minute break so I dragged him up to the esplanade roof top.

The sun was setting so we could see reds and oranges reflecting off marina bay sands. The famous central business district skyline was lighting up too and another set was being played at another concert venue closer by. It was really amazing I kept telling him that it was so nice and beautiful. Oh and yes, the ndp rehearsals were still ongoing too so there were quite a few photographers stationed to take some photos. SO COOL. Grabbed some cup corn and checked out wyd:syd which I reckon is really awesome pawsome.
Fall of mirra was next up in line and okay I was quite afraid of this set because the band's really hardcore and they were like "I WANNA SEE A FUCKING CIRCLE PIT RIGHT NOW" and people were like YEAH CIRCLE PIT *forms circle pit* chongray went to join in the moshing towards the end and he handed me all his belongings. It was like sending a solider into war HAHA.
Had a 30 minute intermission so decided to grab a drink from toast box. Chongray had a few 'celeb' moments with the main man of villes and the bassist of allegience heh I felt happy for him. Went back for the last band we were catching which was aspectrum! Caught them the last time at another gig and I quite like them so I enjoyed their set too (:
We walked along the benjamin sheares towards the fullerton bay hotel then walked a big round to the shoppes at marina bay sands. Dropped by bath and body works to have a little look see and some of their candles are pretty nice although where are their price tags? ): didn't have a proper dinner so grabbed some salad from cold storage and my fambam came to fetch me.
Sorry for the really long and wordy post but it was really such a nice nice nice evening! Would say it's a great end for the holidays *throws confetti everywhere and dances in confetti shower*
Now it's time to ready the warpaint for my last semester in secondary school.
