eve

After several mornings of waking up at undesirable timings, finally got to sleep in on the morning of new year's eve. Things were rather uneventful and grumpy until lunch when sissy cooked up some yummy kimchi fried rice. Met up with our cousin before taking 157 down to jurong point where along the way we freaked out available seating for our 2:40pm show.

THANK GOODNESS FOR FRONT ROW SEATS. Met chongray outside the cinema and got 4 seats for Frozen which hit my expectations of being another great disney animated movie (: i feel like such a child watching these films. There was a bonus of surround sound children laughing and making unnecessarily comments too.

Boyfriend/myself parted ways with the sister/cousin so we left to roam around the mall for a bit. That adventure concluded with me wanting a new pair of birkenstocks and a vans snapback. My heart is aching at the thought of future piggy banks breaking.

Post-window shopping we took 174 down to sixth avenue where we walked around the lazy lizard alley before the turf city (or the grandstand as it's now known) shuttle bus drove us to our destination! Have been wanting to drag him down there for a long time and finally got the chance.

We walked around, looking at what choices we had for our last meal of the year and checked pasarbella out while deciding. Honestly i feel that the environment is a little intimidating. "Organic this, organis that" chongray said at different stores and it's not incorrect. Everyone there seems to have an agenda and they could be less bothered with your presence. Don't get me wrong, the place is beautifully adorned with vintage and rustic deco and furniture, past 6:30 or so, it's a relaxing setting to chill.

In the end we settled for Do It Ourselves! It's one of the few burger joints there (omakase and vegan burg) with a menu that looks like a good bang for buck hehe and they were screening despicable me ahhhh sho cute. It's sort of like the burger version of subway with the free and easy vegetables because they have a salad shack sorta where you can go and marry meat and veg together as well as the choice of what kind of bun you want. Twas was a good meal (:

Toured giant afterwards and compared cd players to rice cookers and motorcycles before we walked back into pasarbella to snap photos and get meringue although we were quite rudely dismissed by the lady who worked at the pastry shop when we attempted to bag a meringue piece ): well they were closed but STILL it pays to be a little more polite

Afterwards we went by the stands which used to be occupied by avid horseracing junkies. The Grandstand was not the slightest bit what it was named, it was empty and chains barred you from entering. It was deteriorating cement.

The night sky was red as we sat down and talked about making resolutions for ourselves to keep -promises to each other- as well as being very afraid for the new year. It was mostly me voicing my worries and he being a listening ear which was nice. The wind was moving at a fast enough pace to keep us cool and not uncomfortably chilled.

At about 9:15 we decided it was time to leave and walked out to the main road where he suggested we just walk all the way back home. Popped by 7-Eleven to get ice-cream hehehe he got his first magnum ever and i got my first paddlepop ever :3 walked and talked whilst holding hands because it's expected couple behaviour. There was a rather empty road so we decided to take some photos and ah sometimes i think we're just the coolest people ever.

At the end of the night, at the bus stop, we talked about how we'd raise our kids if we ever had any.
I'll never name my child eve. Maybe eva. But not eve.

happy new year

P.S: spent today lunching at buddy hoagies with him and then revisited the closed road where we took a photo last april and tried to replicate it /daylight version/ hehe okay school tomorrow.
