It's the fourth day into my seventeenth year.

Apart from my actual birthday (which I spent at frisbee training), I've been having two hour naps every evening since turning that tiny bit older.

Definitely aging well.


On another note, was finally able to celebrate things proper this year.

Because my birthday kept clashing with the mid-years I never really had a party nor any birthday meals with friends. I think I used to be quite bitter about this for a while, especially when others managed to have their elaborate celebrations because they were born a couple of days earlier/later. At the same time though, those quiet [6th of May]s had allowed me to appreciate many other things.

Had a little hang around-movie-pizza session at my place about a week or so prior to my birthday with the serve people. Since quite a lot of the guys were heading off for NS at around the same time I thought it was a great excuse to have a little 'party'.

I'm so bad at translating my thoughts into words but in short: I had a really good time and it was somehow a really nice reminder of my three months spent at serve.

Special thanks to my dad for paying for the pizza, sissy for the cupcakes, wei yi for the cake, jeremiah for the presents and everyone else for dropping by!

The sunday after, met chong ray for dinner at Marche.

It was my first time there so everything was pretty fascinating. Although we didn't manage to eat much their black forest ham crepe and desserts were so good. I SHALL GO BACK FOR MORE NEXT YEAR.

Fast forward two days later, had dinner at Concetto with another friend hehe. 

So food porn did an episode (quite a while back when the series had first started) on Italian food at Concetto. Dropped by the place once with the KAP-less gang but we were all too broke for anything except single pasta dishes so this time bella, yes I like to talk in third person some times, was very excited to try more of their food! 

OKAY I APOLOGISE FOR THE VERY BAD FOOD PHOTOS but I really don't spend a lot of effort on trying to make food look good on camera. Especially when I'm hungry. ):

Any way I think everything we ordered ended up tasting pretty great. 6.5/10 STARS 4 CONCETTO.

Also managed to pinch a little bit of foie gras from a separate dish and *cues angelic choir* my taste buds have been opened to a whole new world.

THE ACTUAL DAY. Didn't take any photos (sad) but thank you T102 and the frisbee group 5 people for singing the song for me! And also tan jia min for the korean themed socks, mini hello kitty balloon and chocolate cake hehe I love you.

Missed my rice bowl's call because I was napping. Woke up to her texts saying that she was grocery shopping + having dinner alone below my place and wanted my company. Was suppose to drop my sister's place to check out how the renovation works have been doing so told her I could only meet for a while and then when I dropped by saizeriya...

Look at these people with an angry birds cake trying to sing me a birthday song.

Thankful for these people who came all the way down to my place after a long day of school with a cake, card and a huge ass hello kitty balloon. Ended up coming back from my sister's place relatively early so managed to have some korean bingsu with them YAY. Argh I can't stop thinking about how we hung out 'til close to 11 even though they had to wake up at 6am the next day. <3 <3 <3

Going to have another birthday dinner with my family later on next week but I don't think I can continue napping every evening for another 5 days just to joke that I'm aging in an introductory paragraph.

All in all, I just really thank God for continually blessing me with so many great people in my life. (:
