Documenting Freedom

Given the amount of stuff that happened today it's quite tough to believe that I just took my last O level paper this morning.

YES I'm finally done dealing with regular 6:15am alarm (phone) clocks and nights of worry. Gone with the wind are my 10 basic years of singaporean education *whoohoo*

I think I have yet to truly understand the amount of free time that I hold in my hands now but it's alright I have a couple of months to sort everything out hehehe. Was planning to dive straight into finding a job but now I'm keeping the rest of 2014 free and leaving the first three months of 2015 for the anglican diocesan SERVE programme! It's pretty cool. I'll be going for almost daily lecture-like sessions learning more about good stewardship/topping up on bible knowledge and at the end of the entire thing I'll be heading for an overseas mission trip. And I'm supposedly paid o:

But in the meantime things have already been pretty exciting.

Headed down to the platypus family kitchen with the boyfriend for a nice pasta dinner last thursday! They had a pretty good deal where you got two full sized pastas + two lemon teas + a side + soup for a standard price so we chose the mac & cheese, chicken aglio olio and fries. Wouldn't say that I liked the mac & cheese because it was too bland but at least the side salad was really nommy. The chicken aglio olio was rather decent though so yay thumbs up!!

Had my dreaded 3 hour paper the following day which ended up being pretty alright although I seriously don't see myself getting a distinction for the subject. These exams always make you realise the things you should've done way to late. But then again I wouldn't redo it even if I had the chance to.

Went to clementi on saturday to meet chongchongrayrayrayrayrayray for lunch although I only had watermelon juice because my sister and I woke up really late and had instant noodles for breakfast so my tummy was still pretty filled. Dropped by his place to watch random videos and play some mario kart before we left for cellgroup which ended up being pretty traumatising because ashley planned the games and it involved balloons (which we're both pretty terrified of). Went round with each balloons tied around our legs trying to step on other people's although I basically just screamed a lot. hehe. While he went home I met my parents at turf city for some indian dinner! Had some garlic naan and butter chicken yumyum and then headed to pasarbella with my mother while dad just sat at the benches outside omasake burger :3

Pasarbella closes pretty early so by the time we went in everybody was getting off their shifts. Shabby Chic caught my mum's eye and we ended up spending about 20 minutes there as she chose what designs of tea towels she wanted. The place is a mad heaven of everything floral. It's more insane than even cath kidston?

Then we passed by the poppy flora studio and I went a bit nuts over the wreaths.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!!!!!!

Okay dear goodness I need to move on to the events of today if not this post will never end.

Continuing from the aforementioned 'I had my last paper today' story, headed to the JEM area for some prom dress scouting with jia min and zhe ern after the mcq paper ended! It was pretty early when we reached -around 10am- so we had a hearty macs breakfast first before heading to the shops. We started with west gate since we reckoned we'd spend more time at jem and then gradually moved over. Zhe ern asked to go check out dorothy perkins although I don't think we were expecting to see much there and then *jeng jeng* I saw this really gorgeous floor length dress hanging in front of my eyes.

Let me just put it out there that my original idea of what dress I wanted was a toga style, mid-thigh length red dress.

This dress was a sleeveless (but double strapped) floor length silver dress.

I told them I really liked it but never could I wear it because I'm so small and they told me to just go for it so I put it on and GAH I felt so happy. Although I felt really insecure about my arms and all the dress was really quite a dream so I told them I'd think about it.

We rummaged through robinsons and a couple of other stores, headed to jcube and then I said I was still thinking about the DP dress. So I called my sister to ask if she was getting off work soon so I could get her opinion on it. About an hour or so later my mum, sister and I were at DP once again and I had purchased the dress hehe.

So yes my prom shit is settled whoohoo. Still heading out with the other girls to find their dresses this thursday though (still really exciting because...retail therapy) and hoping to find some accessories for myself!

A couple more exciting things coming my way: sole superior, sister's ROM, watching interstellar, christmas dates with annabel jfsdjfsldfdfsdfhdiifgsdfsdf I can't wait

For now though I'm going to start on Red Band Society because I've been seeing its trailers on FOX and it looks like such a good show. I shall be back with a report soon hehe.

H A P P Y   H O L I D A Y S  ! (:

P.S: was watching niomi smart's video yesterday and she really makes me feel like trying all these plant-based diet etc etc things out. she and marcus definitely make up my favourite youtube couple hehe.
