I have 90s schoolgirl hair now

I can't remember what the reason behind getting my hair chopped the previous time in primary six was but it sure was disastrous.

Didn't help that I hit puberty really early so I was one of the taller/bigger girls in class with a face full of pimples + I had to have this terrible hair.

Fast forward 4 years I'm back to hair that's above shoulder length but I guess life wanted to unchain me from beauty woes and I'm really happy that I made the decision to go short hehe. The weather has been really horrid and in the evenings, while waiting for my hair to dry, it seems impossible to get any work done because there's this mop that won't dry that refuses to get out of my face thus snip snip went to the hairdresser's last sunday.

It was pretty fun debuting my new hairdo in school on monday since it was racial harmony day and everyone was extra spontaneous and excited then! Classmates were too kind to compliment me *awwwwww you guys are the best* and it was great that nobody said I looked terrible. Thurga lent me a set of traditional costumes and it really made me wish that we had more occasions to don such clothing because it's so interesting to explore the other cultures and appreciate the handiwork and workmanship that goes into them!

As usual, 4D1 was such a fun bunch to be around and had a nice day taking photos together and all.

The week passed by quite painfully with the usual teenage angst catching up with me. I don't like to use it as an excuse but every now and then I feel that it is a justifiable reason. There was a pretty major test where the stakes were: pass or drop a math. It's not that I am a fan of the subject in particular but I don't think I would forgive myself if I gave up.

They say no pain no gain right? So yes pulling through the week earned me a good long weekend that was kickstarted by a sports and outing evening with the lovely boyfriend yesterday! Hurried down to his place after mandatory remedial and we chilled around for a while before heading for some 1-on-1 badminton.

I don't think that we're bad players but we are laughable players. Say you were looking of the hdb that was facing the court area, you would see two teens slipping to and fro the court trying to return feather shuttlecock shots to each other but mostly failing miserably. The most enjoyment you could possibly taken away was that the girl shrieked quite a lot and the boy had adorable dimples that reappeared everytime the girl shrieked. Other than that you probably didn't benefit from it much and you should have stuck to watching the tellie.

After a bit of time at the monkey bar, playground and searching for the neighbourhood cats, we decided to venture to the firefly park. It was a part of clementi we've never ventured to before but I'm glad we've found it becuase it's truly such a beautiful place. The garden mapping of the place is done up very nicely and there are swingsets there! SWINGSETS!

We took to the swings and enjoyed it very much with the sunset washed sky above us.

As for today, we went to the grandstand for some indian chow. Mum used to bring me there before the huge revamp and I loved the food. Glad to say, the standards haven't dropped and that there will be many more future visits to Curry Garden! I had originally wanted the tissue prata but there wasn't any (???) so chongray and I just shared this fried chicken dish & a chicken murtabak dish.

It was yummy.

And the above is an understatement.

Made our rounds through pasarbella, picked up a huge chocolate meringue from the bakery and marvelled at lobsters (dead and alive) before catching the shuttle bus to clementi.

From there we took the train down to clarke quay where we met jia min. Headed down to the arts house for the drama kiddos drama festival performance and I'm so very proud of them (: I teared while watching them because I'm quite a freak and well from their practise session which I observed on wednesday, they put much more heart into the real deal show. It was at the chamber which is of the old parliament room so the setting was pretty rad too.

The rest of the day was spent touring the justice le(a)g(ue) of singapore hehehe. Okay no, not really. All we did was walk pass the old supreme court and admired it for a while.

Window shopped at raffles city and that was it for our day! I am not very good at conclusions but they need to be done so here it is: sorry for the wordy posts but writing them make my happy and I hope reading them make you feel the same way too.
