Decided to take the bus to church this morning. Mother had to be there earlier so I told her to go ahead first.
Annabel gave me a pack of leibniz mini butter biscuits on friday because she knew they're one of my favourite foods to spur me on. I woke up feeling pretty exhausted and I wanted breakfast so I grabbed the pack and left the house.
The walk to the bus stop was a pretty long but quaint one. Feels like I've been hiding in the darkness of 6am mornings a little too long because it felt so good to breathe in the same morning air as the surrounding joggers and cyclists.
As I slowly devoured the biscuits I started to notice the ones that weren't whole and had a corner of their's crumbled off. I was a little annoyed thinking of the broken pieces at the bottom that I had to deal with when I was done with all the bigger ones.
Got me thinking that maybe I would be a little more relieved if a biscuit was broken in half instead of just a have a corner chipped off because in the end I have the other half to gain as I make my way down the pack.
Sure I'd have less of a whole piece to begin with but in the end I would also have more to gain?
Food for thought.
happy sunday (:
