Syc bootcamp has been pretty enjoyable the past few days but more on that end of the week!

I don't know why i decided to write about this but it was browsing through people.com's album of the biggest celeb splits of the year and then i got the jessica simpson's parents' split and i just got really really upset and kinda angry.

My dad was talking to me about how in the christian world divorce isn't allowed because in your vows you have already promised that you would go through thick and thin together.

I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life.

"You have declared your consent before the Church. May the Lord in his goodness strengthen your consent and fill you both with his blessings. What God has joined, men must not divide. Amen."

These are the traditional roman catholic vows but still...all the days of your life.

I freaking hate it when people split because they've grown apart or they can't get along or whatever. Go and find the love that you once had. Obviously i can't say much since i'm not married and won't be anytime soon and things aren't as simple as they seem.

The only reason why a divorce should occur is because of adultery and that's reasonable for a split. I asked my dad about abusive spouses and such and he said that you'll just have to pray for them. I know it really doesn't sound logical but in the case they get arrested and thrown into jail, you're safe from their abuse but you don't have to give up on the relationship.
