desaru wootwoot

The past five days have been pretty darn good.
Not staying at home cooped up in my room all day really does feel good.

Went to vivo with chongray on thursday for lunch and pitch perfect! (: (:

Headed to town on friday with my mum to..not do much really. Brought her to swensens for lunch which she hasn't had since before i was born. Popped by topshop and managed to get a pair of oxford creepers. Went to commonwealth for lunch at two chefs and saw mr chia and mr chua ahhh.

Sports leaders had a camp with the ncc guys over at desaru and i really did find it enjoyable (: great time bonding with some of the other people outside of class since i was the only one from C1 who went besides zaw!

Went kayaking and trekking the first day! Had lunch at the kayaking place which was across the river so took a quick boat ride there and i don't know why i enjoyed it so much. I should really go to the amazon next time just to take a trip down the river. Hmmm. Paired up with xinru and we sucked at it! Almost died paddling for so long and we kept getting shouted at but it was pretty cool. Had to park our kayak and we started going way of course backwards and i was like "oh shit shit shit what the fark we're gonna hit the ship! KEEP PADDLING WE'RE GOING AGAINST THE CURRENT!" hahaha.

Trekking itself wasn't super exciting although we kept talking and getting scolded again d: learnt about gong gongs and kilat which reminded me of the razor clam video i watched. Same way of fishing which is pretty cool shit. Went to plant mangrove seeds and saw loads of chicks. So damn cute.

Night time was pretty slack. Basically just washed up, had dinner and got debriefed which was just a load of scolding. ): then ended up sleeping at around 12+ in our tents!

Woke up at 6 the next day and washed up and stayed in our tents till around 730 then headed for breakfast. Went straight for our trekking at gunung panti after that! Wearing tracks pants and a long sleeved top trekking for three hours is...pretty tiring. The smell of wild boar shit in the air is refreshing. Was helping farizah around coz she lost her specs at the river the previous day when she and liyana capsized ):

It was an hour long bus ride there and about three hours of walking till we cooked our lunch! Grouped with raghavi, brian, jun ming and zac for cooking and it was pretty fun! Cooked maggi and ended up spilling some cooked ones and dried ones and slowly ants started coming over and taking it away. It was pretty cool to see heh.

Suddenly pulled up my pants and saw some blood so thought i got cut or something but zac said it was a leech and called instructor ash and he said it was so got it sprayed. Ooh leech bites! Poor delyn had to have her leech pulled out and her wound couldn't stop bleeding for three hours ):

Had campfire prep followed by dinner and then campfire by the beach!

The sand is so incredibly fine and the pebbles are so smooth. Zaw and i started collecting pebbles for fun because they were just so fun to touch. You can't see the sea but you can hear it. You can't see the ends of the sea and when you look up you see so many stars. You looks in front and you sea the waves crashing in and the giant campfire burning away.

Even though there were only around 40+ of us it was still really fun and i really enjoyed myself (: went dancing gangnam style with the hotel staff at the grass patch because they have these dancing sessions at night and in the morning and at that time no one was there so we just danced and embarrassed ourself, the eight of us girls (:

Slept really soundly last night and woke up this morning to shower before our activities!

Spent the day making kites and playing other random games because it was raining and we couldn't head out to fly the kites and build sandcastles. It was really fun nonetheless (: headed back for singapore straight after that and well, back home now!

Thanks farizah for being my high buddy along with xinru and liyana as tent mates ♡ and raghavi, delyn, anthea and jiaying for being the cool girls at camp whee!

TIME FOR MY SALTED CHIPS.
