I would count myself as quite a fortunate kid.
I had a nice childhood which i wouldn't mind re-living.
Some snippets of my childhood include my neighbour, Nadia and I cycling around our floor (: i remember her telling me that her brothers' name was her name spelled backwards so : Aidan. I remember that i didn't have a scooter or a bike so i would always borrow either from her and we'd have fun in the afternoons.
Because i didn't have a bike or a scooter (or even if i did) so i had no proper helmet. Instead i had this bear pouch that's attached to a belt strap. I then strapped the bear pouch over my head as a makeshift helmet. Obviously, practically it wouldn't work. It was just for show, to show that i had something. Nadia has a glittery pink helmet of course (:
I also remember being very sad that she went to CHIJ instead of my primary school.
Then she shifted to Pasir Ris into a much bigger house ): we kept in touch for a few years but we haven't talked in ages.
She had a dog too. And loads of barbies.

Then i remember as a kid during Christmas, my cousin who lived at a neighbouring block would come over and we would do a lot of nonsense.
We would turn the tv on and he'd introduce me to How It's Made (i still watch random episodes on youtube when i'm bored)
Because my parents didn't really believe in the commercialised version of the holiday. we never bought decorations. Just a tree (that i'm thankful for). Thus my cousin and i went down to NTUC (i live above one) and we would buy spray snow and we'd cut out our own decals and stick it onto the staircase and then destroy the staircase with too much spray snow.
(:
Ah those were the times.
I can still remember when i got my first pair of jeans. I was 9 and i got them from Bossini.
The button had a pink gem in the middle. They lasted me a few years till i got another pair.
Till this day, i've had about 5 different pairs of jeans and i always only have one trusty pair at a time (:
I think i'd be the kind of mum who would buy all the deco during christmas and chinese new year. I'd watch movies with my kids (my mother doesn't even watch the tellie) and decorate their rooms to tip tip shape hehe.
ttfn
